Neighborhood Registry
The Town of Apex’s Community Engagement Divisions goal is to build long and impactful relationships with community members, increase participation in town activities, and to empower and engage community members by providing services that support quality and healthy neighborhoods.
One of the ways that we plan to carry out our vision of empowering and supporting our neighborhood groups and community associations is through the Town of Apex’s Neighborhood Registry. The Town's Neighborhood Registry is an official list of active neighborhoods that are located within the Town of Apex. The Registry will overall help us engage, assist, and build healthy relationships with neighborhoods that are located within our community.
Registration Benefits:
- Inclusion in the Town of Apex’s Neighborhood Guide Map, an interactive online map that will allow fellow community members and prospective residents to learn more about your neighborhood
- Receive community notices from town departments regarding community resources, concerns, events, capital improvement plans, etc.
- Eligibility to apply for neighborhood grant opportunities offered by the Community Development and Neighborhood Connections Department
- Eligibility for your community’s leadership to attend the annual Neighborhoods Leadership Summit
- NeighborhoodsUSA Affiliate membership
Who can register?
Homeowner/Condominium Associations
Homeowner and Condominium associations are typically formal self-governing organizations who make and enforce guidelines for homeowners that live in homes that are all built by the same property builder.
Neighborhood Associations
A neighborhood association is a voluntary organization of residential volunteers who organize and work together to improve their neighborhoods quality of life. These groups usually prioritize coming together to share ideas and explore opportunities for voicing their neighborhoods concerns.
Registry Requirements
- Must be located within the Town of Apex corporate limits and its extraterritorial jurisdiction
- Must have at least one board meeting per year
- Must have organization bylaws and/or covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs)
- Must be open, inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to anyone who wishes to live/join your neighborhood
