Apex is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Wake County. The cost of renting or buying a home has skyrocketed, and many residents can't keep up.
Housing is considered affordable if a family spends no more than 30% of their income to live there. Housing cost increases have outpaced growth in wages, so many people who are working struggle to find an affordable place to live.
