Volunteers are essential to the success of many Apex programs!  We offer a variety of opportunities to get involved in your community through volunteerism.  

Citizens Assisting Police in Apex (CAPA)
CAPA members help provide assistance at public events and assist the Police Department in support roles at events such as Peak Fest, Shred Day, DWI checkpoints and National Night Out. Learn more! 

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Participants are educated about disaster preparedness and trained in basic disaster response skills to enable them to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event. Volunteer!

Fire Hydrant Painting 
Typically organized for Saturday mornings, firefighters accompany volunteers to paint fire hydrants in designated areas of town. Volunteer!

Fire Truck Washing 
A great opportunity for families to volunteer together! We provide the soap and water, you provide the elbow grease! Volunteer!

Landscaping / Outdoor
Assist with outdoor projects like mulching at the Town's parks and trails. Volunteer!

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels of Wake County serves noontime meals every weekday to the elderly, homebound and persons with disabilities of Wake County. Volunteer!

Special Events 
Volunteers needed for Peak Fest (First Saturday in May), Olde Fashioned 4th of July, Turkey Trot 5K (Saturday prior to Thanksgiving), as well as opportunities for events at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. Volunteer!

Stream Clean-Up Events 
Through the Big Sweep program, you can organize an Apex event or participate in an existing Wake County event. Volunteer!

Storm Drain Marking Program 
Volunteers adhere watershed specific markers on storm drains throughout town to remind citizens about the importance of stormwater pollution prevention! Volunteer!

Youth Athletics Coaching
All Apex Youth Athletics coaches are volunteers. Training is provided for coaching or assisting with youth baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, tennis and girls volleyball.  Volunteer!
