Doug VanOsdell
Apex Pickleball Player

Doug just completed an amazing 4,200 mile journey on his bike, riding all the way from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. All in about 67 ride days. He rode an amazing 60 to 70 miles a day.  Many years ago he came across a couple that were riding across the country and decided that one day he was going to make that part of his life story. Several years ago, Doug was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder where the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system.  At one point his symptoms were so severe, his wife was having to feed him a liquid diet with a spoon, Doug said, “If I ever get better, I am going to ride.”  Last year he decided that he was not getting any younger and starting training in October of 2014. With the love and support of his family and friends Doug was able to accomplish a lifelong dream and an amazing ride of a lifetime. To read more about his amazing ride and incredible journey.
