Celebrate America’s Birthday on Salem Street with family activities including giant inflatables, a rock climbing wall, carnival games, and food and street vendors. At noon, children 12 and under may join Uncle Sam’s Parade of Wheels for a trip down Salem Street.

Aquatic Adaptations and Evolution

Ages 10+. Students will learn how different fish species have evolved over the years to best fit into their habitats. Learn how to classify types of fish according to color and body shape. We will discuss how pollution and human interaction affects the fish in these habitats and how we can help conserve ecological spaces for these wildlife. Supplies are included.

Arachnids, Insects and Isopods, Oh My!

Ages 11+. Students will learn about all of the different creatures that are most commonly referred to as "bugs." However, not all of these bugs are as they seem! Some of them aren’t even insects at all. Students will learn about arachnids, arthropods, isopods, insects, and just what makes all these creatures different from each other. Learn the different biology, anatomy and life cycles. Test your new ID skills at the end of the class! Supplies are included.
