Computer & Electronics Recycling
As an additional service to its residential recycling customers, the Town of Apex accepts computer equipment and electronics that are dropped off at the Public Works facility located at 105 Upchurch Street between the hours of 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The program will accept computer equipment and electronics from Apex residential recycling customers only. No Businesses Please. Wake County has a multi-material recycling facility at the South Wake Landfill where computers from local businesses and county residents are accepted at no charge.
Currently, this Town service does not include the collection of televisions. However, it does cover monitors, cords, processing units, speakers, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, etc. These items are properly destroyed and processed by the Town's e-Stewards certified recycler. Computers that are in good working condition can be donated to local charities as a tax deductible contribution.
The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources has additional information on the reduction and recycling of electronic waste.
