Where is Apex Cemetery located?
Apex Cemetery is located at the corner of Upchurch Street and W. Moore Street in Apex, NC 2702.

Who owns Apex Cemetery?
The Town of Apex owns and maintains the land, which is individually deeded to those who purchase plots.

How much do burial plots cost?
The fee for an individual burial plot is $350 for residents and $600 for non-residents. However, please note that the Town has no available lots to sell.

Who do I contact if I want to schedule a burial or have a marker installed?
Only contractors authorized by the Town of Apex may perform work in the cemetery. Questions regarding funerals, burials, or gravestone placement should be directed to the Town's contracted Cemetery Manager Brad Bailey at (919) 465-0888.  Mr. Bailey is also the General Manager of Wake Memorial Park. 

How do I find out if a family member is already interred in Apex Cemetery?
The Town of Apex maintains records regarding the plot owner. This record may or may not reflect the name of the person who is buried in that plot. Contact Sue Jenks at (919) 249-3322 for more information.

I own a lot that I want to sell. How do I go about this?
The resell of plots is permitted with the consent of the Town. The Town does not assist in the sales transactions. However, should you find an interested party to purchase your lot, you must present your original deed and a letter to the Town stating your intent to sell the plot. Letters can be hand-delivered to Sue Jenks at 73 Hunter Street, Apex NC 27502, or mailed to Sue Jenks, PO Box 250 Apex NC 27502. The letter must contain the current owner’s name, address and signature, as well as the new owner’s name, address and signature. If you are selling the lot on behalf of a person as the executor of their will, proof of that must be shown through a testamentary or other official document.

What kinds of decorations are allowed?
Please refer to our Code of Ordinances, Chapter 6 Article III, to see a full description of urns, memorials, and ornaments allowed.

What are the hours of the cemetery?  
The cemetery is open to visitors from 7:00 a.m. to sunset from April 1 to October 31, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from November 1 to March 31.
