Motorized Vehicles in Parks and on Public Greenways
For the safety of all public park and greenway users Town Ordinance Sec. 15-7 prohibits the use of any motorized vehicles in parks and on greenway s except in designated areas. Specifically, the ordinance provides that:
“No person shall drive, park or ride any motorized vehicle in any public park or on any public greenway except in areas so marked, signed or designated for motorized vehicular traffic, except in maintenance or other activity under the direction of the town”.
Pets in Parks and on Public Greenways
For the safety and sanitation of all public park and greenway users Town Ordinance Sec. 15-7 prohibits the exercising of pets except in approved areas and all pets must be kept on leash while in those areas. Pet owners are subject to all sections of the Town’s animal control ordinance, required to have in their possession a container suitable for the disposal of pet feces, and required to remove their pet’s feces from the park or deposit in trash containers located throughout public parks and along public greenways.
