Apex, NC – Another section of the Apex Peakway opened for travel this week.  The latest piece of the loop was completed between Ambergate Station and Laura Duncan Road.

The next section to be completed is soon to follow.  Apex Peakway will cross over North Salem Street in mid-July. 

The Town of Apex’s agreement with CSX to open the new railroad crossing requires the town to simultaneously close the at-grade crossing on Moore Street. 

The only two remaining gaps in the Peakway loop after this project will be between Tingen Road and Old US 1 and between NC 55 and Center Street. These sections will be constructed as development occurs in those areas and/or as future Town projects.
