RALEIGH — Both lanes of Apex-Barbeque Road, between Kelly Road and Scott’s Ridge Trail in Apex, will be shifted onto a temporary roadway starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27. The traffic switch will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., with the new traffic pattern expected to be in place until the spring of 2012.

This shift will allow the contractor for the N.C. Turnpike Authority’s Triangle Expressway project to safely build a new permanent bridge over the Western Wake Freeway segment of the Expressway. NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
