What is Neighbors Helping Neighbors?
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a program created by the Town of Apex to help Apex Utility customers who cannot afford to pay their utility bill. Town of Apex residents and utility customers can contribute money to the fund, which is then distributed to those in need through a non-profit organization. All money collected will be distributed only to Apex Utilities customers.
Who can contribute to Neighbors Helping Neighbors?
Anyone can contribute to the fund. Contributions can be added to your monthly utility bill or can be made on a one-time basis. To contribute, simply fill out the sign up form and mail with your utility bill or bring to Town Hall. Contributions to Neighbors Helping Neighbors are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Who can receive assistance from Neighbors Helping Neighbors?
Only Apex Utilities customers are eligible for assistance from Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Western Wake Crisis Ministry (WWCM) will administer the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program. WWCM is a non-profit organization that has served Apex and surrounding areas since 1983. You can find out more about WWCM at www.wwcm.org.
