The Wake County landfill is closed for the following holidays:

• July 4th
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Years Day

If your trash collection day falls on one of these holidays, trash and recycling collection will be postponed to the following day and any subsequent collection day in that same week will also be postponed one day. For example, Thanksgiving Day always falls on Thursday, so Thursday's collection would be on Friday and Friday's collection would be on Saturday. Call Customer Service at 362-8676 if you are ever in doubt about your correct collection day.
