Apex Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources sponsor a variety of special events each year.

Easter Egg Hunt:

Sat, March 20, 10am at the Apex Town Hall Campus.

This is a FREE event for ages 9 & under.  Bring your Easter baskets and arrive early to meet the Easter Bunny and find candy-filled eggs!

11th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run: turkey trotSaturday, November 21st at 10am   - Course #5884

It is time to chase down that Turkey at Apex Community Park on Saturday, November 21 at 10am. The course will take you through the park and around the scenic lake. Registration is limited to the first 600 individuals (the race has filled approximately one month prior to event last year). Registration has reached capacity and is now closed.

Again this year we will offer a RECREATIONAL division. Entries in this division will not receive a timing chip and will not be officially timed, recorded or eligible for awards. Individuals will be responsible for keeping their own time if desired. Everything else will be the same as the COMPETITIVE entrants including receiving race t-shirt.

Categories of Competition: Men’s & Women’s 15 and under; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up

Awards to top overall male and female and to the top 3 males and females in each age division. (Competitive Only)

PeakFest

Celebrate the "Peak of Good Living" at the PeakFest, the first Saturday in May.

PeakFest features over 200 vendors with a wide variety of arts and crafts.  There will be also plenty of entertainment with stages with music and dance acts, rides, and roving street performers, see map for stage lineups .  Also don't forget about that delicious festival food.  The festival is from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Salem Street in historic downtown Apex, free and open to the public.
