
The Apex Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Advisory Commission is composed of 8 members appointed by the Mayor and Town Council. Initial terms are 3 years, staggered beginning with the June meeting each year. The commission serves in an advisory capacity to department staff and the Town Council, providing recommendations on parks and recreation issues in the Apex community. The commission also reviews and makes recommendations on public recreation requirements for proposed residential developments and provides input on long range plans related to parks and recreation.
Monthly meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at the Apex Town Hall. To be placed on the commission's agenda, contact the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources at 249-3402 no later than 4:00pm the Wednesday preceding the regular meeting date.
