streamWELCOME!  The Town of Apex Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department offers a variety of passive and active leisure opportunities to Apex Citizens and residents of Southwestern Wake County. Since passage of a $13,000,000 park bond referendum in 2004, the Town has completed the following projects: Phase IA of the Beaver Creek Greenway, the Expansion of the Apex Community Center, Phase I of the Beckett Crossing Greenway and Phase I of the Haddon Hall Greenway. Later this summer, we hope to start construction on Phase 1B of the Beaver Creek Greenway which will connect Pearson Farms to Kelly Road Park. In late November, we anticipate completing the restoration, renovation, and expansion of the Town's Historic Old Town Hall, built in 1912, into a Performing and Cultural Center. By the end of this year, we also hope to finalize the acquisition of two tracts of land for future park development. The next phase of bond related construction, scheduled to begin in the summer of 2008 include Phase II of the  Haddon Hall Greenway, Phase II of the Beckett Crossing Greenway and Phase I of the 160 acre Environmental Education and Nature Park located on Apex Barbecue Road.

We are proud to offer this variety of leisure opportunities for Youth, Adults, and Sr. Citizens. Beginning July 30, 2007, our customers will also be able to register for selected programs on line. As you browse through our website, we hope you will find something that interests you. If not, let us know. We welcome suggestions and involvement from our citizens and participants.
