The Building Code Enforcement Division of Construction Management is the office responsible for enforcement of North Carolina State Building Codes as required by General Statute and adopted by the Building Code Council. In the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare, the Code Enforcement Officer's primary tasks include review and approval of construction plans, performing field inspections, and providing answers to questions pertaining to state and local codes and ordinances related to the building construction industry.
