Apex Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources welcomes the participation of individuals of all abilities and ages. Specialized recreation programs are designed to meet the interests of individuals with disabilities. Program offerings are in art, fitness, recreation sports, performing arts, social gatherings and special events.
The Town of Apex Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is committed to an inclusive approach to recreation and encourages individuals with and without disabilities to participate together. In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), we will provide reasonable accommodations to facilitate participation in our programs. To ensure that reasonable accommodations are in place, accommodation requests should be received at least two weeks prior to the start date of the program. For more information, please contact Allie Prelaske, firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-249-3507.
What is a reasonable ADA accommodation?
Reasonable accommodations are resources used to help a person with a disability to participate in any program. Resources may include, but are not limited to, auxiliary aids or services, adaptive equipment, additional staff training, and/or additional staff. Accommodations cannot fundamentally alter a program.
