  • American Tobacco TrailBuilt on an abandoned railroad corridor, the ATT spans 22+ miles from Apex to Durham. The Town of Apex has more miles of the ATT in our town limits than any other Wake County community.
  • Town of Cary: Use the search term greenways to access information about trails located in Cary, some of which are connected with Apex trails.
  • Bicycle and Pedestrian System Plan Map: This map incorporates existing and proposed bicycle and pedestrian facilities as shown in the Parks, Recreation, Greenways and Open Space Master Plan, Bike Apex and Advance Apex Transportation Plans. The facilities shown on the map include Greenways, Street-side Greenways, Side Path, Sidewalk, and Bike Lanes.

Did you know? A portion of the greenways built in Apex are planned for and supported by Wake County with grant funding. The County is currently working on a plan for more greenway trails, creating better connections between where we live, work, learn, and play.
