PeakConnect Program Registration


Registration will be held online and at the Apex Community Center (53 Hunter Street). Apex residents begin registration at 9:00am on September 23 and non-residents begin registration 9:00am on October 7. For those registering in person, there will be a lottery at 8:45am on the first day of registration to determine line order. For online registration, new participants will need to create an account prior to enrolling. Returning participants should contact the Apex Community Center (919) 249-3402 for their account info. League age is based on a player’s age on February 28, 2020.

The following age divisions are offered (age as of 2/28/20):
  7-8 Pee Wee Boys 
  7-8 Pee Wee Girls 
  9-10 Mite Boys 
  9-10 Mite Girls 
  11-12 Major Boys 
  11-12 Major Girls 
  13-14 Junior Boys (Sunday games) 
  13-15 Junior Girls 
  15-16 Senior Boys (Sunday games) 

Already registered? Click here for information about player assessments and the season. Please note: only registered players who are not returning to last year's team should attend the player assessments. Anyone on the waiting list should not attend.


About Youth Basketball

The 7-8 age divisions will play with 8 1/2-foot baskets and the 9-10 age divisions will play with 9-foot baskets. All other age groups will play with 10-foot baskets.

Practices begin the week of November 11. Teams will practice once each week on rotating weeknights.  Games will be on Saturdays with the exception of the leagues noted above. Games begin December 7. Season runs through the end of February.

Family Basketball Ham Toss

Join us for the Family Basketball Ham Toss! Family members join teams to shoot foul shots with a chance to win a holiday ham.

This event will be held at the Apex Community Center on Tuesday, December 18. Teams consist of 2 members of the same family, 1 adult (age 18 or older) and 1 child (17 and under). The winning team from each age division is that which holds the highest number of points when the scores of both participants from all 3 rounds are totaled.

Handicaps will be given to the youngest age divisions. Maximum of 1 prize ham per family. No preregistration is necessary and this event is free.

Age Division & Times

  • 6 and under & 11-12: 6:00pm
  • 7-8 & 13-14: 7:00pm
  • 9-10 & 15-17: 8:00pm
