SPECIALIZED RECREATION THEATRE ~ TOGETHER ON CENTER STAGE (TOCS)
Ages: 12-40 yrs. TOCS is an award winning 8 week performing arts program for individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities. TOCS offers a fun, safe and welcoming environment for person’s of all abilities and is committed to developing social and performance skills, building self-esteem, discipline, responsibility, and positive values through the performing arts. No experience is necessary! The participants will help plan a production, cast their own characters and learn a script, songs and dances. There will be three performances in mid-October, the culmination of all the hard work during the rehearsal sessions. This program focuses on each participant’s abilities and places them where they can be most successful. Participants will be assisted by mentors/buddies, aged 16 through adult. Fee includes shirt, performances and a cast party. Location: Halle Cultural Arts Center Instructor: Alan Rosen and TOCS volunteers
