The DEI office was first formed in early 2022, and provides strategic leadership, planning and oversight for projects and programs that advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and authentic engagement consistent with the Town’s strategic objectives and organizational values.
The initial goals of the office will be:
Building relationships with the Council and staff and getting familiar with the culture, and assessing current equity efforts by the Town.
Creating a clear vision and effective framework for developing a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Leading strategic initiatives that promote belonging, support working environments where all have an opportunity to succeed, and building external relationships with the community.
